Ideally, your passengers won’t notice much difference between acceleration in your car and acceleration in an automatic.

If you know it’s time to replace your clutch, don’t hesitate. Allowing failing clutch conditions to escalate will only destroy other expensive parts, such as your flywheel. If the clutch is exhibiting odd behavior, have it replaced immediately.
